Holland America Carry-On Beverage RULE CHANGES

I happened to be looking at the Holland America site for other reasons, and came across this FAQ Know Before You Go

Someone more familiar with the alcoholic beverages rules will have to look to see if those changed; since I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t know for sure, though I believe they have. The non-alcoholic beverage rules have DEFINITELY changed.

NO non-water non-alcoholic beverages such as soda or juice may be brought on board in any form. Water for drinking can only be brought on board in limited quantities, and not in plastic bottles, only cans or cartons.

If you have a cpap machine and plan to bring distilled water for it, the water must be in a factory sealed package (plastic allowed) and in checked luggage, packed with the cpap machine. I don’t know about you, but my cpap case is not big enough for a gallon jug of water. I’ll have to buy mine from the ship.
